🌊 About the Shallow Bowl: What to Expect

Sam's shallower cup is the one thing to understand before buying. The wide shaft opening makes up for it. Flow moves through fast, so the cup doesn't need to hold much at once. Most people get the hang of it quickly. If you have a really fast or heavy stream, though, you may need to slow your flow a bit more than you would with a deeper-cupped STP like the STP Freely XL or The Lou STP.

The upside: that smaller, shallower cup is part of why Sam is so easy to pack every day. It's a design choice, not a flaw.

🧼 Care & Cleaning

Platinum silicone is non-porous and easy to fully sterilize. Clean using any of the following:

• Warm water and mild soap: your everyday after-use clean
• TGS Packer & Toy Cleaner: fast and gentle, and it conditions the silicone surface
• Boil for 3 minutes for full sterilization
• Top rack dishwasher, no detergent needed

Air-dry completely before storing. Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. For long-term storage, dust lightly with Packer Renewing Powder to maintain softness.

Water-based lube only. Do not use silicone-based lubricants. They break down platinum silicone over time.

🚿 First-Time Use Tips

Once you find your positioning, Sam's wide shaft opening makes flow pretty easy to manage. Practice in these stages before you try it out in public:

1. Shower, water off: practice the seal with no clothes on so you can easily spot any leaks
2. Toilet, no clothing: build muscle memory for cup placement. With Sam's shallower cup, find the angle that keeps flow moving forward into the shaft instead of pooling in the bowl
3. Underwear on: Cake Bandit STP underwear or a harness holds Sam in the right position automatically
4. Fully dressed: once you can go clean every time at home with clothes on, you're urinal-ready

How does Sam compare to the STP Freely?
Sam is a handmade NYTC device, so the silicone feel, cup shape, and look are all different. The shallow bowl means flow management matters more with Sam than with deeper-cupped TGS house STPs. The STP Freely has a deeper cup and wider urethral opening that's more forgiving for beginners. Sam is a solid pick if you want NYTC quality, or if you've used other STPs and want to try a different design.

Is Sam good for fast streams?
