A Binder

Donate a binder you no longer wear and you can literally change someone's life. Rather than running our own binder give-back collection, Transguy Supply now points our community to Point of Pride — a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose Free Chest Binder Program rehomes new and gently-used chest binders to trans folks who need them, all over the world.

Point of Pride accepts all sizes, styles, colors, and conditions of binders and sports bras. Whether you want to recycle a binder that no longer fits or give away a spare, you mail your chest binder donation directly to them using the steps below.

🏳️‍⚧️Where your binder goes: Your binder donation is mailed directly to Point of Pride, who rehomes it free of charge through their Free Chest Binder Program.
📦You cover shipping. A single binder in a small package typically costs around $4 to mail. For multiple binders, a flat-rate box is usually cheaper. Point of Pride is not able to reimburse postage.
📝Include a donation form. Pop this completed form — or a handwritten note listing the brand and size of each item — inside your package so they can sort donations quickly.

02How to DonateUpdated
Three Simple Steps
1

Package your donation. Combine multiple binders into one box to save on postage. Include Point of Pride's donation form or a handwritten note listing the brand and size (if known) of each item.

2

Mail it to Point of Pride. Send to their preferred East Coast address; a West Coast option is available if it's cheaper for you. Full addresses are in Section 04.

3

That's it. Point of Pride sorts your donation and gets it to a trans person in need — often shipped internationally.

🚚Mailing via FedEx to a PO Box? You must select "FedEx SmartPost," which hands off to USPS for final delivery — other FedEx methods will error out on a PO Box.
03What They Accept
Yes, Please Send

💛Have items Point of Pride can't take? A nearby LGBTQ+ center may know of a local program to rehome them.
04Where to Send Your Donation

Point of Pride strongly encourages using the East Coast address. Only use the West Coast address if shipping to Delaware is cost-prohibitive for you.

Preferred — East Coast

PO Box 7824
Newark, DE 19714

Alternate — West Coast
Point of Pride
PO Box 10991

🧾Need a tax receipt? Point of Pride is a 501(c)(3). Because they're volunteer-run, they can't confirm every donation — but they'll make an exception for tax-receipt requests if you contact them before mailing. You can also request USPS tracking to confirm delivery yourself.
05Add a Note to Your Recipient

Want to make it personal? You can tuck a handwritten note of affirmation in with your binder for the trans person who receives it. If you're donating multiple binders, include one note per binder.

✍️Not sure what to write? Point of Pride has suggestions and prompts here.
You may also include small, all-ages-appropriate stickers or pins, as long as they don't add much weight. Please skip food, gift cards, or cash for the recipient — many binders ship internationally.
06Donation FAQ
Is my contact info shared with whoever receives my binder?

No. Point of Pride collects your contact info only to reach you if there's a rare issue with your donation — it's never forwarded to the recipient or anyone else.

Can I put multiple binders in one package?

Yes — and it's cheaper to. There's no need to mail each garment separately; a single flat-rate box is usually the most cost-effective option.

Can I include a cash or check donation for Point of Pride?

Yes. Place it in a small envelope inside the package and clearly label it "POINT OF PRIDE DONATION." (This is different from a gift for the recipient, which they ask you not to include.)

Will they confirm they received my donation?

Generally no — the volume is too high for their volunteer team to confirm each one. Request USPS tracking when you mail, or contact them ahead of time if you need a receipt for tax purposes.

Will they reimburse my postage?

No — their resources go toward the program itself. A single binder usually costs about $4 to mail. For large shipments (25+ binders), contact Point of Pride for help finding the most cost-effective method.
