The Best Packers for Trans Masc, Non-Binary & Gender Expansive People

New to packing or ready to upgrade? Here's every option worth knowing about, from your first sock to a premium silicone prosthetic.

Transguy Supply Blog Packing Guide 10 min read

Not every trans masculine, non-binary, or gender expansive person packs. There's no requirement, no timeline, and no right answer. But if you're curious about packing, or you've been at it a while and want something that works better, you're in the right place.

We've tried every option below. The list goes from totally free all the way up to premium prosthetics, with soft packers, STP packers, silicone, harnesses, and packing underwear along the way. Skip ahead to what you need:

Best Packers for Beginners

If you've never packed before, start here. These options are cheap or free, so you can figure out if packing is right for you before you spend real money.

01: The Starter $0

A Sock

Best Way to Try Packing for Free

Before spending anything, grab a crew sock and try it for a week. Roll it, fold it, tuck it into your underwear. If you hate the feeling, you've lost nothing. If you love the look and how it makes you feel out in the world, you'll know it's worth putting money into something more realistic. Lots of people are surprised by how much packing changes their day, and also by how much it doesn't. The sock test tells you which camp you're in.

02: The Classic $20–$24

Mr. Limpy

Best Budget Starter Packer

Ask almost anyone in the trans masc community about their first packer and the Mr. Limpy will come up. It's been the go-to beginner packer for years. It's soft, fairly realistic, and cheap enough that it's not a big risk. It also comes in multiple sizes and skin tones, which matters.

One thing to know: the Mr. Limpy is made from elastomer and contains trace mineral oil. For this reason, we strongly recommend wearing it with packing underwear or a harness instead of right against your skin for long stretches. A barrier makes a real difference if your skin is sensitive.

Shop Mr. Limpy →
Runner-up: Packer Gear TPR Packer ($20–$25). Similar feel and price to the Mr. Limpy. A solid backup when Mr. Limpy is out of stock in your size or skin tone.
Not sure if packing is for you?

You're not required to pack. It doesn't make you more or less trans, more or less masc, or anything else. If you want to read more about why some people choose to pack and what it actually feels like day-to-day, we wrote about it here: Top Reasons Trans Masc People Pack.

Best Silicone Packers

Once you know packing is right for you, silicone is the upgrade. It's body-safe, easy to clean, and more realistic in weight and feel. Plus, you don't need the same barrier as with elastomer packers. The options below cover every silicone price point.

03: Most Popular $30

My Buddy 4" Silicone Packer

Best Affordable Silicone Packer

The My Buddy 4" has become our fastest-selling packer, and for good reason. You get ultra-soft liquid silicone and a realistic weight at a price that won't scare you off. It sits right between beginner and premium: better material than elastomer, and easier on your wallet than high-end prosthetics. It comes in multiple skin tones and has a natural hang that looks real under clothes.

04: Step Up $30

My Buddy 5" Silicone Packer

Best for a Fuller Profile

Same ultra-soft silicone construction as the 4", with more length and presence, for when you want a fuller look under clothes or in the locker room. The weight is still natural and comfortable for all-day wear. Same skin tone range as the 4".

#1 Trans Packer

Best Inexpensive Silicone Packer

The #1 Trans Packer by Transguy Supply is an ultra-soft premium silicone packer. It's super comfy, realistic, and comes in one of the widest skin-tone ranges at its price. It's 100% body-safe, easy to clean, and made to wear every day for the long haul. If you want silicone quality without spending $100+, this is your packer.

Shop #1 Trans Packer →
Runner-up: Packer Gear Silicone Packer ($26–$27). The cheapest silicone option out there. It has less realistic detail and a firmer feel, but it's body-safe and a good pick if budget is your main concern.
06: Intact Option $38

#1 Trans Packer Uncut

Best Uncut / Intact Packer

There are surprisingly few affordable intact packers on the market. The #1 Trans Packer Uncut fills that gap well. It has the same ultra-soft silicone, skin-tone range, and comfy weight as the circumcised version. It's 100% body-safe and made for all-day wear. If an intact option matters to you, this is the one.

07: Non-Anatomical $7.50

Foam Packer

Best Non-Anatomical / Low-Profile Packer

Not everyone wants a realistic packer. The Foam Packer gives you a comfy, natural-looking bulge without any anatomical detail. No outline, just presence. It works best with packing underwear that has a pouch. Also, several trans masc people who've had metoidioplasty use this packer after surgery, since it gives the look without anything rubbing right against the body.

08: DIY $0–$7

DIY Packer

Best When Budget Is the Barrier

You tried the sock, you know packing is right for you, but you can't afford anything from the list above yet. No problem. You can make a packer that works with stuff most people already have at home. We have a full how-to guide with step-by-step instructions.

Best STP Packers

STP (stand-to-pee) packers do two things: create a natural bulge and let you pee standing up. If public restrooms (especially urinals) bring up dysphoria for you, an STP can change a lot. There's a learning curve with positioning, but most people get comfortable within a few uses.

09: Easiest to Use $48

The Lou STP

Easiest STP for First-Time Use

The Lou is one of the easiest STP packers we carry. It has a wider funnel opening that makes placement more forgiving, especially for beginners. It packs naturally and works reliably at urinals. If you've been nervous about trying an STP, the Lou is where to start.

10: Best 3-in-1 Value $72 bundle

STP Freely XL + Insertion Rod

Best Affordable 3-in-1 STP

Most 3-in-1 packers (pack, stand-to-pee, and play) start at $200 and go well above $1,000. The STP Freely XL paired with its insertion rod gives you all three at $72. That makes it the most affordable multi-function packer on the market. It's Transguy Supply's own design, made so you can have it all without the premium price tag.

New to STPs?

Using an STP for the first time takes practice. Placement, angle, and underwear choice all matter. We wrote a full guide that covers it all: how to choose the right STP device, how to use it at a urinal, and which packing underwear pairs best with each style.

Best Premium Packers

If you're ready to spend more on something super realistic, hand-painted, or fully custom, these are the ones to know.

11: Mid-Range Upgrade $60

Mr. Right

Best Mid-Range Realistic Packer

The Mr. Right is a handmade silicone packer with a firmer feel, detailed scrotum, and a natural hang that reads more realistic than softer budget options. It's a good next step if you've been packing for a while and want more detail without spending a ton. It's a real upgrade from the Mr. Limpy at a price that's still doable.

Packer Care & Cleaning

Take care of your packer and it'll last longer, stay body-safe, and feel better every day. Here's what you need to know.

  • After wear, clean silicone packers with a body-safe toy cleaning spray. It removes oils, sweat, and residue without damaging the material
  • Let your packer air-dry completely before storing. Never seal it up damp
  • Once dry, dust with Packer Renewing Powder to restore a smooth matte finish and prevent tackiness or lint buildup
  • Avoid harsh soaps, alcohol-based cleaners, or anything scented
  • Store packers separately. Silicone touching silicone for a long time can damage the surface
  • For elastomer packers (like the Mr. Limpy), always use a barrier (packing underwear or a harness) so it isn't against your skin for long stretches

A good packer that's well cared for will outlast a neglected premium one every time.
