15 Best Packers, Ranked From Free to Premium: The Trans Masc Guide
Not everyone packs. There's no rule, no timeline, and no right answer. But if you're curious, or you've been packing a while and want something better, this list of the best packers runs from totally free to premium prosthetics. We've tried every one.
Best packers for beginners
Never packed before? Start here. These cost little or nothing, so you can find out if packing is for you before you spend real money.
1. A sock
Before you spend anything, roll up a crew sock, tuck it in your underwear, and try it for a week. Hate it? You've lost nothing. Love how it looks and feels out in the world? Then it's worth putting money into something more realistic. Lots of people are surprised by how much packing changes their day, and others by how little. The sock test tells you which you are. Want a sock with a little pride in it? Grab our trans embroidered socks.
2. Mr. Limpy
Ask almost anyone about their first packer and the Mr. Limpy comes up. It's soft, fairly realistic, and cheap enough that it's not a big risk. It's made from TPR with trace mineral oil, so wear it with packing underwear or a harness, not right against your skin for long stretches. That barrier makes a real difference if your skin is sensitive.
Runner-up: the Packer Gear TPR, with a similar feel and price and a slight upturn if you like to pack pointing up.
Not sure packing is for you at all? It doesn't make you more or less trans, or more or less masc. Read why some people pack.
Best silicone packers
Once you know you like packing, silicone is the upgrade. It's body-safe, easy to clean, and more realistic in weight and feel, and it doesn't need the same barrier as TPR.
3. My Buddy 4"
The My Buddy 4" is our entry silicone packer. It's 100% body-safe silicone, compact, and soft, with a natural hang under clothes. It's the easy step up from TPR without a big price jump.
4. My Buddy 5"
Same silicone as the 4", with more shaft, bigger balls, and a heavier hang. Get the My Buddy 5" for a fuller look under clothes or in the locker room.
5. #1 Trans Packer
Our bestseller. The #1 Trans Packer is our ultra-soft signature silicone, comfy and realistic, and made to wear every day for years. It's the one to get if you want great silicone without paying for a high-end prosthetic.
Runner-up: the Packer Gear Silicone, a budget liquid silicone pick with less detail. It's body-safe and a good choice if price is your main concern.
6. #1 Trans Packer Uncut
There aren't many affordable uncut packers out there. The #1 Trans Packer Uncut fills that gap, with the same ultra-soft silicone and comfy weight as the cut version.
7. Foam packer
Not everyone wants a realistic packer. The Lightweight Foam Packer gives you a soft bulge with no anatomical detail, so there's no outline, just presence. It needs underwear with a pouch. Some people use it after metoidioplasty, since it gives the look without anything rubbing against the body.
8. DIY packer
You tried the sock, you know you like packing, but nothing above fits your budget yet. You can make a packer from stuff you probably already have. Here's our DIY packer guide.
Best STP packers
An STP (stand-to-pee) packer gives you a bulge and lets you pee standing up. If urinals bring up dysphoria for you, an STP can change a lot. There's a learning curve with positioning, but most people get comfortable within a few tries.
9. The Lou STP
The Lou was built for the urinal first. It has an angled shaft so you can aim, a deep cup with a no-spill lip, and a wide opening that keeps up with a heavier stream. It packs naturally all day.
10. STP Freely XL
Most 3-in-1s (pack, pee, and play) are pricey. The STP Freely XL with its play rod does all three for a lot less. It's our own design, sized up with a longer shaft, deeper cup, and wider opening. Want something smaller? The original STP Freely is our most popular first STP.
New to STPs? Placement, angle, and underwear all matter. Our STP guide covers picking one, using it at a urinal, and the best underwear for each.
Best premium packers
Ready to spend more on something super realistic, hand-painted, or fully custom? This is the one to know.
11. GenderCat
GenderCat makes fully customizable, self-adhesive packers with one of the biggest skin tone ranges out there. If you've struggled to find a packer that matches your skin, start here. They offer payment plans, and the silicone is built to last.
Best packing gear
A good packer is only half of it. What holds it in place matters just as much for all-day comfort.
12. Cake Bandit Monochrome Harness
Our best-selling packing harness holds a soft silicone packer or STP close to your body, up or down, under underwear you already own. It's all one color with no buckles or visible logo, so nothing shows through.
13. Get Your Joey Sport Pouch
A pouch that pins onto your own underwear, so you don't need a harness or special pair. The Sport is quick-dry and moisture-wicking, made for sweaty days.
14. Cake Bandit packing underwear
A built-in front pouch holds your packer all day with no harness or clip. Put it on, pack, go. Cake Bandit comes in briefs, boxer briefs, STP styles, and jocks, sizes XS–3XL.
15. Jockmail Packing Boxer Briefs
Jockmail boxer briefs have a packing pouch that keeps things snug through workouts and active days. They run small, so check the size chart.
Packer care basics
- After you wear it, clean it with packer & toy cleaner or warm water and mild soap.
- Let it air dry completely. Never put it away damp.
- Skip harsh soaps, alcohol cleaners, and anything scented.
- Store packers separately. Silicone touching silicone for a long time can mark the surface.
- Always wear TPR packers like the Mr. Limpy with a barrier, like packing underwear or a harness.
- Finish with a light dusting of Packer Renewing Powder to keep it soft and lint-free.
