Light blue, pink and white. Hung loud.

This transgender pride flag carries the stripes that have stood for trans pride since 1999. First, it is printed in rich, true-to-design color on 100% knit polyester, so the stripes stay crisp and the fabric moves easily in the wind. Then, two iron grommets make it simple to hang from a pole, a wall hook or a window.

Whether you fly it on your porch, pin it over your bed or carry it at Pride, this trans pride flag makes a statement without saying a word. Plus, at 34.5" x 56", it is big enough to see from across the street. Made for us by us.

  • 100% polyester, knitted fabric
  • Fabric weight: 4.42 oz/yd² (150 g/m²)
  • Printed on one side, with a blank reverse
  • 2 iron grommets for easy hanging
Flag size 34.5" x 56"

Measure your pole bracket or wall space before you order, so the flag hangs flat with room to spare.

The transgender flag was created in 1999 by Monica Helms, a trans woman and U.S. Navy veteran. It was first flown at a Pride parade in Phoenix, Arizona, in 2000.

Each stripe has a meaning. The light blue stripes are the color traditionally used for baby boys, and the pink stripes are the color traditionally used for baby girls. Meanwhile, the white stripe in the center represents people who are intersex, transitioning, or who feel their gender is neutral or undefined.

Helms designed the pattern so that no matter which way you fly it, it is always right side up. Later, in August 2014, she donated the original flag to the Smithsonian National Museum of American History. Today, the trans pride flag flies at Pride, on Trans Day of Visibility (March 31) and on Transgender Day of Remembrance (November 20).

Is the design printed on both sides?
No. The stripes are printed on one side, so the reverse shows a lighter version of the design through the fabric.

Can I hang it outdoors?
Yes. Knit polyester handles wind well. However, bringing it inside during storms will help the color last longer.

Does it make a good gift?
Absolutely. It is an easy, meaningful gift for Pride, birthdays or a coming-out celebration.
