Willmer Broadnax, also known as "Little Ax," was an American gospel quartet singer.
Throughout the 1940s, Willmer was the lead singer of his own gospel quartet, The Golden Echoes. In the 1950s, he joined The Spirit of Memphis Quartet and later The Fairfield Four. During his long career - he actively recorded through the 1980s - Broadnax became one of the most popular gospel singers of his day.
Upon Broadnax's death in 1992, it was discovered that Broadnax was a trans man. Up until that point, the only person who knew Willmer's secret was his biological brother - who steadfastly supported Willmer and sang beside him his entire life.
This shirt is a part of Transguy Supply's Trans Trailblazer Series. Each shirt in this series was illustrated and signed by accomplished Trans Artist & Fashion Designer, Auston Bjorkman.
