Jamison Green transitioned in the early 80’s and is considered one of the first trans men to come out publicly at that time.
James has fought tirelessly for trans rights and trans inclusive healthcare in insurance policies, and for trans inclusion in the Employment Non-Discrimination act. He has sat on the boards of the Transgender Law and Policy Institute, National Center for Trans Equality, Gender Education and Advocacy and as president of World Professional Association of Transgender Health.
Green is also an accomplished writer of Becoming a Visible Man. A semi-autobiographic novel about transitioning from lesbian to a bisexual/queer trans man.
